Supporting CBP’s Mission Since 2011

For more than 15 years, VPD Government Solutions has supported U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Office of Facilities and Asset Management (OFAM) across a diverse range of mission-critical programs.

Our relationship with CBP began in 2011 with support to the Field Operations Facilities Program Management Office (FOF PMO). Since 2022, VPD has expanded its CBP support to include additional OFAM programs, providing expertise in program management, facilities and asset management, strategic communications, workforce strategy, logistics, and organizational improvement.

Today, VPD professionals work alongside CBP leaders and mission teams to plan and execute critical programs, modernize facilities, engage stakeholders, improve business processes, and communicate complex initiatives to audiences ranging from CBP employees and industry partners to local communities and Congressional stakeholders.

Our CBP Experience

OFAM Field Operations Facilities Program Management Office (FOF PMO)

Trusted advisors since 2011

VPD has supported the FOF PMO since 2011, providing embedded program management and communications expertise in support of CBP’s Land Ports of Entry portfolio.

Our team supports the planning, programming, budgeting, and execution of facility sustainment and major modernization and recapitalization initiatives. We work closely with CBP, the General Services Administration (GSA), construction firms, OFO partners, and other stakeholders to develop requirements, establish design standards, coordinate projects, and plan for future investments.

Because Land Port of Entry projects directly affect federal employees, travelers, border communities, and neighboring jurisdictions, stakeholder engagement and communications are central to our work. VPD develops messaging and outreach strategies, produces newsletters, fact sheets, talking points, and executive communications, maintains SharePoint and other communications platforms, and supports consistent branding across the program.

VPD also supports CBP leadership with high-level communications related to Congressional testimony and other executive engagements, translating complex issues—including facility modernization, environmental considerations, and funding requirements—into clear and effective communications.

Our support extends beyond the facility itself. VPD professionals coordinate with binational groups, border authorities, local law enforcement, and community stakeholders to help ensure that projects are understood, coordinated, and successfully executed.

OFAM Front Office

Supporting OFAM leadership and mission operations

  • VPD provides Front Office support to OFAM, helping leadership manage the priorities and activities that drive the organization forward.
  • Our team supports executive taskings, budgeting, communications, and coordination across OFAM’s mission areas. Working closely with OFAM leadership and staff, VPD helps translate priorities into action, coordinate information and requirements, and ensure that critical activities receive the attention and support needed to advance the organization’s mission.
  • This work provides VPD with a unique perspective into OFAM’s leadership priorities and the interconnected programs that support CBP’s facilities and asset management mission.

OFAM IS Human Capital Program Support

Supporting five of OFAM’s seven divisions

  • VPD provides Logistics and Mission Support Specialists to support five of OFAM’s seven divisions, helping the organization evaluate its processes, strengthen its programs, and improve the way it manages its facilities and assets.
  • A key focus of our work is helping OFAM rethink and strengthen its Facility Condition Assessment (FCA) program. VPD supports FCA program development and analysis, provides strategic recommendations, and helps translate findings into actionable initiatives.
  • Our team also supports project management and organizational improvement efforts, including the development of standard operating procedures, process flowcharts, and other tools designed to create greater consistency and efficiency across OFAM.
  • As OFAM engages with external business partners, VPD also supports strategic communications efforts to help clearly communicate requirements, initiatives, and organizational priorities.

Experience Across the OFAM Mission

VPD’s CBP experience is built on a simple principle: effective mission support requires more than delivering a specific service. It requires understanding the mission, the organization, the stakeholders, and the environment in which our customers operate.

Our work across OFAM demonstrates that depth of understanding. From long-range planning for the nation’s Land Ports of Entry and management of major capital investments, to executive communications, workforce strategy, facility condition assessments, and organizational improvement, VPD brings together the diverse capabilities required to support complex federal missions.

After more than 15 years supporting CBP, VPD understands the importance of being a trusted partner—one that can step into complex environments, work alongside government teams, engage stakeholders, and turn mission requirements into results.
